Jeff founded the Cheney Group, along with his wife Dana Cheney, and has been ingrained into the community and serving the North Texas area since 2003. Jeff is also a CPA, a Registered Investment Advisor, and the Mayor of Frisco, but that’s just the start. Each day, he sets a tone for this growing team that’s centered around service, fun, community involvement, excellence… and especially you. When Jeff started the Cheney Group in 2003, his goal was to take a consultation approach to real estate and develop a team that would be able to offer unparalleled insight and knowledge to those looking to buy or sell a home in North Texas. The thing we love most about real estate are the stories that we hear… That’s why we made a commitment to always listen first. When I first became a Realtor, I made a conscious decision to embrace a philosophy I call “Doing the Right Thing Creates the Right Results”. It is tempting to take short cuts when you are struggling in situations with immediate, adverse consequences. At the beginning of my career I realized that I was in the service business – not the sales business. A critical component of serving my customers is listening. Zak Anderson’s Texas roots run deep. In fact, he can proudly say he’s a 5th-generation Texan (4th-generation in Collin County). Raised in McKinney, Zak has seen the Collin and Denton County areas grow rapidly to where they are today, and continues to be excited about the growth and opportunity that’s made Collin County one of the most sought-after locations to live in the US.
Zak has been in real estate since 2008 and has differentiated himself through his focus on attention to detail, personal relationships, local knowledge, WIN-WIN deals and positive results. Zak and his team utilize the latest technologies, his extensive network, market research and business strategies to exceed his client’s expectations. More importantly, he listens! Zak currently resides in Frisco with his wife, Erica, and his two dogs Pico & Bear. Zak graduated from Baylor University in May 2002 with a BBA in Marketing with a focus on International Business. While attending Baylor he served as president of the Baylor University Men’s Volleyball Team for two years and was active as a player and coach.
Zak enjoys sports and physical training, such as CrossFit, motorcycling, mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, and volleyball. Additionally, Zak enjoys traveling, wine tastings, cooking, reading, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, as well as Baylor Athletics.
